How to Delete My CampOrganizer Account

This page applies to CampOrganizer: Explorer, CampOrganizer: Family, CampOrganizer: Counselor and associated CampOrganizer web accounts.

You can request deletion of your account and eligible associated personal data even if you no longer have the application installed. A request is reviewed and fulfilled through the applicable deletion procedure; sending a request is not immediate erasure of every program record.

Option 1 — Request deletion in the mobile app

Where the account-deletion option is available, sign in to your app and open:

Profile → Legal → Delete my account and data

Follow the on-screen steps to submit your request. This sends a deletion request for processing; the app may sign you out afterward. If you cannot sign in, use Option 2 instead.

Option 2 — Request deletion without the app

Send an email to support@camporganizer.app with the subject:

Account and data deletion request — Explorer / Family / Counselor

You can also contact gdpr@camporganizer.app for a privacy rights request. Please identify which app you used and provide the email address associated with your account, if known. Tell us the camp or organization involved if it is necessary to identify the correct account. Do not send your password, identification documents or medical information in your initial email.

Parents or legal guardians may make an applicable request for a child. We may need to verify identity or the person’s authority before acting, using a proportionate and appropriate method.

What we do with a request

1. Acknowledge and assess the request under the applicable data protection rules and identify the account and responsible organization.
2. Verify identity and authority where needed to protect the account or a child’s information.
3. Identify data to delete or anonymize, including account credentials and relevant associated data, and any restricted records that a controller is lawfully required to retain.
4. Carry out and verify the applicable steps. Some deletion actions are performed manually and may involve more than one CampOrganizer service or the relevant organization.
5. Confirm the outcome or explain any lawful limits or further information required. We aim to respond within the time limits prescribed by applicable law, including GDPR requirements where relevant.

A request to close an Explorer login is not identical to erasing a camp’s legally maintained registration, attendance, payment or safeguarding records. Such records will be assessed separately, and personal data will not be kept merely because someone has disabled their login. Where a legal retention obligation or valid hold applies, the retained information should be limited, protected and kept only for its lawful purpose.

Backups may retain protected copies until the applicable backup lifecycle expires. A restored backup must be handled in accordance with outstanding deletion decisions.

Important information

• Uninstalling an app does not delete your account.
• The in-app deletion control initiates a request, not an immediate database purge.
• We do not require you to reinstall the app in order to submit a deletion request.
• A request may be fulfilled manually and may involve more than one service or the responsible program organization.
• You can ask for a correction, a copy of personal data, or other privacy-rights assistance at gdpr@camporganizer.app.
