Ready to explore the world of southwestern cuisine? Come join us for Cottonwood Gulch’s Blue Corn Trek! This exciting journey is geared towards food-savvy teens aged 14–18. From learning how ingredients come together to create unique and flavorful dishes, discovering historic recipes that have shaped the culture of south western cooking, trekkers will be immersed in an unforgettable experience sure to tantalize both their taste buds and minds!
Embark with us on a 3 week journey as we explore the connection between ourselves and what’s on our plate! Our Basecamp Farm Educator will lead trekkers through activities such as growing fresh food, collaborating with local growers, learning to cook meals in diverse ways. Not only are participants discovering nutrition — they’re forming friendships around the table (or campfire!) where shared memories linger over wholesome dishes created collaboratively. Join Blue Corn Trek for an exploration of how “we are what we eat!”
